This Privacy Statement applies to the ‘“Best Product of the Year”’ concept, including:
When you fill in the questionnaire, you provide us with the following personal data: your e-mail address, gender, age and postcode.
Q&A Insights Europe BV (Chamber of Commerce no: 65019776) compiles the content of the website and the questionnaire. In addition, it classifies the results from the questionnaires. It outsources the automated execution of the questionnaire to Q&A panel services BV (Chamber of Commerce no. 32111416).
The personal data is stored from the questionnaire system on behalf of Q&A Insights Europe BV in a highly secure database, on servers at external parties in the Netherlands. These parties secure the servers properly and assess this security on a regular basis. The personal data is deleted no later than one year after it is no longer possible to fill in the questionnaires. There is one exception to the above provision: if you have received an email with an invitation to fill in the questionnaire, we are required to keep a record of this email address and when the email was sent for a period of five years. These email addresses are stored in encrypted format.
The basis on which personal data is processed is consent. After all, you fill in the questionnaire voluntarily. This consent may be withdrawn at any time.
The purpose of processing the personal data is to be able to classify the ratings that people give of shops based on gender, age and postcode. Personal data will never be passed on to external parties (with the explicit exception of Q&A panel services BV) without permission. Your personal data can be viewed, changed or deleted on request. The purpose for storing the email address is to verify whether the email address is valid. According to the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), as a consumer/involved party you also have the right, upon request: to access, correct or delete your personal data, the right to be 'forgotten', to restrict or oppose data processing, and the right not to be subject to automated decision-making. You can indicate this request by sending an e-mail to: email@example.com.
If you wish to inspect your personal details, we will ask you to identify yourself by means of a valid proof of identity. This enables us to verify that we are providing the personal data to the correct person. Excessive requests relating to the provision of information can be rejected by us. Exorbitant requests are when, for example, you approach us more than average and necessary with requests for information.
The responses in the questionnaires and the anonymous personal data they contain are presented in a report (tool) in groups. These can be viewed by retailers and organisations interested in retail. See also the paragraph entitled ‘Sponsors and other third parties’.
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Statement. It is advisable to consult this Privacy Statement on a regular basis to stay up to date on these amendments.
